3 Minute Read:
Today, women have more weapons than ever to fight aging. From cosmetic procedures and medical-grade skin care to vitamins and bio-identical hormones, these advancements have helped women to look younger longer.
The secret to finding a good medical spa is to look for one run by a board-certified plastic surgeon, as they often provide superior non-surgical treatments for patients who prefer not to undergo cosmetic surgery.
Starting With Prevention
Skin Care
Medical-grade, prescription skin care goes a few steps further than even the best over-the-counter products. The Obagi Nu-Derm® System, Z O Skin Health, and PCA are pharmaceutical quality skin care regimens and products recommended by plastic surgeons and dermatologists because they can penetrate deep into damaged skin to treat flaws on a cellular level.
These medical-grade products deliver proven improvements to treat wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, freckles, uneven skin tones, and mild laxity.

Hormone Imbalances
As we age, our hormones can wreak havoc on our skin, muscle tone, energy, mood, and libido. The BioTE® program is a doctor-supervised system of bio-identical hormones to restore balance and to support overall health. The skin benefits include improved tone, texture, and elasticity.

Cosmetic Injectables
Neuromodulators for Dynamic Lines
BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Jeuveau® address some of the earliest signs of aging, including dynamic wrinkles and lines caused by repetitive muscle movements. These lines and wrinkles can appear as wrinkles around the eyes, frown lines between the eyebrows, or horizontal lines on the forehead.
BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Jeuveau® can be used alone or in combination to effectively correct or prevent these lines. When used strategically, they can give the face a lifted and rejuvenated appearance.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are different from neuromodulators like BOTOX® Cosmetic. They are usually made from hyaluronic acid and include brand names like JUVÉDERM® and Restylane®.
They specifically treat a different process of aging, whereby the fat and bony structure of the face are gradually being lost over time, creating sagging and deep folds. Most often these losses are first seen with a deep nasolabial fold, then hollows under the eyes, jowls, weakening jaw line, and thinning lips.
Restylane® and JUVÉDERM® are effective in adding volume to critical areas of the face such as the cheeks, temporal hollows, jaw line, chin, and lips, creating a lifted and more youthful appearance.
The routine use of neuromodulators, fillers, and medical-grade skin care can significantly delay the physical aging of the face and provide a more youthful appearance year after year!
Minimally Invasive Anti-Aging Treatments
Some of the most advanced treatments to combat aging fall into a category somewhere between non-surgical and surgical procedures.
Liposuction was among the first less invasive surgical interventions to reduce fat, and now FaceTite®, AccuTite™, BodyTite®, Agnes, and Morpheus8™ can melt fat and tighten skin on the face and body with only micro-incisions and radiofrequency heat while leaving no scars.
A local anesthetic is administered, and gel is applied to the skin. Radio frequency heating is delivered to the deep layers of the skin and fat using a cannula placed under the skin or small needles which penetrate the skin. Either way the result is tightened skin with reduced fat and increased collagen.
The results take three to four months to finalize but provide noticeable changes with no downtime. Some swelling and occasional bruising can be expected.
